ARCTIC BRIDGE TRACK TRUCK

(ABTT)

The two principal components of the ABTT are the propulsion machine and the cargo sleds.

For propulsion we utilize modified diesel-powered semi-trucks with a commercially available robust high speed over-tire track systems that were developed specifically for use on semi-trucks that provide transportation of goods in extreme Canadian winter environments. Semi-trucks are one of the most dependable methods of cargo transportation available and their simplicity and reliability cannot be surpassed over land, snow, and ice. These trucks are already engineered and manufactured to be extremely reliable over long distances in extreme cold temperatures with reasonable fuel mileage.

The cargo sleds can be pushed, pulled, or pushed/pulled simultaneously over extreme terrain and can be used as a bridge to traverse over terrain featuring crevasses. The ABTT is capable of crossing over invisible snow blow crevasses up to 10’ wide without issue. A tall adjustable ski tip design allows for passing over the tallest of Sastrugi, soft snow accumulation, or other extreme snow terrain. terrain.
Estimates indicate a single ABTT will transport a maximum load of 60,000 lbs. while maintaining a maximum ground pressure less than 1 lb/sq inch for the sleds.
  • ABTTs can operated independently as a single-track truck with both a lead and tail sled.
  • The ABTT can also be ran in multiple combinations using multiple track-trucks linked together with hitches and steering linkages which allow for multiple leading and tailing sleds; or specially designed sleds for transporting larger items.
  • All cargo will be loaded and unloaded directly to where the client requires using an onboard knuckle crane.
  • Crane and construction services are minimal however our units will be equipped with a knuckle crane which can be used for erection of structures, camps or enclosures.
